Ceremonies & Rituals

Rituals are a gateway of relating to the power of existence,

they connect us to the divine.

Ceremonies are as old as recorded human history. The act of ceremony and rituals has been following us through the ages. No matter which religion, culture or ethnicity you belong to, every group of humanity has their own traditions, ritualistic practices and specific ceremonies to create distinctiveness in the ordinary routine.

However, in our day and age, ceremonies and rituals have become less and less important. In a time where everything seems to be explainable by science, the magic of ceremony has been frowned upon and displaced to religious institutions or native tribes exclusively.

Just like we need water, food, love and shelter for human survival, we also need ceremonies and rituals to survive, as they create a sense of belonging within us, which is a need deeply embedded within our DNA and critical for survival. Ceremonies remind us that there is something greater than we are able to perceive. Yet at the same time they have a deeply grounding capacity to support us in times of great transition and changes in our life. They give us the possibility to experience this Rites of Passage in full awareness in the here & now.

Rituals connect us deeply to ourselves and to the higher source that gives all life. It gives us the comfort of feeling we belong somewhere, of engaging with a community. Ceremony creates unity instead of separation and shows us how we are all longing for and striving for the same things in life.

Ceremonies and rituals add depth and dimension to our life. We need ceremonies to add extraordinary to the ordinary, to ground us in times of change and trouble, to remember, to honor, to feel and to connect.

The earth is our mother

From her we are born

She nourishes us

In her womb we rest

When we are tired

To her we return

When we die.

Menarche- First Moon Ritual:

Menarche is a sacred moment in the life of every woman.

It is the moment when a young Woman bleeds for the first time - the moment when she turns from a girl into a woman through Mother Nature. Depending on how this experience is committed, it can determine how she deals with femininity, her feminine power and the self-evidence of her body.

It can be an upsetting, yet very powerful moment in every girl's life when she bleeds for the first time.

Therefore it is important for a mother to be prepared for this moment with her daughter. Catching her own daughter with a ritual and initiation to menarche, celebrating with her this first drop of blood, strengthens her feeling that it is good to be a woman.

In order for a girl to grow into a confident woman, it is important that her first period be a joyful experience and not perceived as embarrassing.

This is a good opportunity to give the girl a ritual as a gift, if she can imagine it.

The Circle is for a group of max. 10 Women + the young woman to be initiated. We will take a time of approx. 2h for the Ceremony. Every Ceremony will be opened with the 7 directions. During the Ceremony there will be different offerings and rituals, such as sacred initiation through the elements, Circle of power, Circle of blessings, gifting, sacred blood ritual or rites of passage Ritual. All these are possibilities, that can be woven into the Ceremony, as well as wishes an ideas that come from the woman herself.

Blessingway- Mother Blessing Ceremony:

Conversely, at one point in time women would gather together to empower and support one another as they stepped into the role of bearing and raising children. This rite of passage into motherhood was deeply ingrained and passed down from generation to generation, and woman to woman.

In Native American tradition, this ceremony called a Blessingway created space to come together as a support circle for the expecting mother, and bless the way ahead for her. It is a web woven of the most trusted and cherished women in her life. Those who will provide a loving place where she can explore the challenges and joys that lie before her as she approaches her journey into motherhood.

The Circle is for a group of max. 10 Women + the becoming Mother to be initiated. We will take a time of approx. 2h for the Ceremony. Every Ceremony will be opened with the 7 directions. During the Ceremony there will be different offerings and rituals, such as belly painting or belly casting, affirmation flags or cards, a birth candle ritual, sacred beat bracelet, a water ritual, sacred songs or a moment of deep care. Bridal Blessing Ceremony:

A bridal blessing is a sacred and safe space where a woman is blessed from her close Sisters and friends for this life changing event of becoming a spouse.

It is a ceremony to support her in this transition, so she can reflect upon the journey that brought her to this point. As well as release what has no longer served her as she moves forward into a new phase of her life.

As a meaningful, thoughtful alternative to a traditional bridal shower, a bridal blessing circle invites brides to share their love and blessings, and it may help the bride prepare emotionally and spiritually for committing to her partner.

We come together as a group of women to bless and cleanse the bride, usually by smudging the space and offering different activities and rituals.

It is a sacred Circle amongst Women to take the time and consciously celebrate the Rites of Passage, the initiation into giving her word of love and commitment to one man.

The Circle is for a group of max. 10 Women + the Woman to be initiated. We will take time of approx. 2h for the Ceremony. Every Ceremony will be opened with the 7 directions. During the Ceremony there will be different offerings and rituals, such as a bridal blessing, a cacao ceremony, a sharing circle, a creative ritual to create a memory or a singing circle. All these are possibilities, that can be woven into the Ceremony, as well as wishes an ideas that come from the woman itself.

In my experience, Franziska beautifully embodies the wisdom and knowledge she shares both in her work and in everyday life. Fully embracing her and all our human-beingness and integrating that with a deep connection to the magic and mystery of life. Hearing her speak about conscious conception and cyclical living and creation is like deeply coming home.
